Ethereum: Unconfirmed Transaction > 22 Hours
I understand that this topic has been widely discussed online and there are many solutions. However, I have not been able to find a comprehensive answer to my question, other than the obvious suggestion to wait.
To be clear, an unconfirmed transaction in Ethereum refers to a transaction that has not yet been confirmed by validators on the Ethereum network. These transactions are essentially “waiting” to be verified and added to the blockchain.
The time it takes for a transaction to go through the confirmation process can vary greatly depending on several factors, including:
- Network congestion: High traffic on the network means that more transactions will take longer to process.
- Transaction complexity: Transactions with multiple steps (such as sending and receiving resources) take longer to confirm than simple transactions.
- Validator load: The number of validators currently validating transactions can affect processing speed.
On average, the Ethereum confirmation process takes about 10 minutes, but it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours or even days, depending on the factors mentioned above.
Considering that you submitted your transaction yesterday and it has now taken over 22 hours to process, it is likely that it is still awaiting confirmation. However, I must emphasize that there is no guaranteed processing time, and the Ethereum confirmation process can be unpredictable at times.
